Class AP3B | Ms. Carla Nunes - Codeweek'24

In this funny and unplugged activity within our eTwinning Project, we coded a message in morse code for our eTwinning friends from another country. The main goal of the activity was to develop computational thinking skills as well as getting a better understanding of coding and encryption. Students discovered an old way of communication and made their first step in coding in a funny and playful way. They also learned about morse code and the telegraph and how it was used in World War II in a short movie followed by a Trivia Quiz. They created and sent messages using morse code and used an online morse code translator to decode their friends secret message. They also chose a secret message (about the Sustainable Development Goals), guided by their english teacher, to code with morse code characters. They sent it to their foreign friends who in order to understand it, need to decode the message.
