Class AP3B | Ms Carla Nunes: "The Wizard of Oz"

L. Frank Baum's "The Wizard of Oz" is a timeless tale that teaches valuable lessons about self-discovery, courage, and the power of friendship and home. After reading the story aloud with my students from Class AP3B and watching the video, we discussed the main theme of the story and how the Wizard of Oz characters align with the 4 elements of Nature, an activity included in our eTwinning Project: Dorothy: Air (representing freedom, movement, and the breath of life); Scarecrow: Earth (representing grounding, stability, and growth); Tin Man: Water (representing emotions, empathy, and compassion); Lion: Fire (representing courage, passion, and leadership). They loved it! 

Designing the Official Logo of the eTwinning Project “SEL Wiz: Hocus Pocus”

8th primary school of Thebes in Greece | Teachers: ΜΑΤΣΑΓΓΟΥΡΑ ΕΙΡΗΝΗ & ΤΣΙΟΥΤΣΟΥ ΖΩΗ As part of our European eTwinning project “SEL Wiz: Hocus Pocus: Heart and Mind in Focus – Discovering Nature’s Magic Within” – Celebrating UNESCO Days for Sustainability and Peace through cultivating SEL in students, students from all partner schools took part in a creative and collaborative logo design activity. Participants were invited to design a logo to represent the identity of the project, either by drawing or using digital tools such as WordArt, MakeBadges, Canva, PosterMyWall, Logo Maker, CoolText, Graphic Springs, BlogPoster, Snappa, Crello, and more. Each school selected one logo through a class vote, and the chosen logos were then uploaded to the project’s TwinBoard. In the final stage, all partner schools took part in a democratic voting process to select the official logo that would accompany the project’s actions and publications throughout the year.
