The creation of the eTwinning 2024-25 program , titled “SEL Wiz: Hocus Pocus: Heart and mind in focus – Discovering Nature’s Magic Within” – Celebrating UNESCO Days for Sustainability and Peace through cultivating SEL in students, aiming for our school's inclusion in the UNESCO AspNet Schools Network , allowed our students to collaborate with schools from other countries. This European collaboration helped them deepen their knowledge of the SDGs, exchange ideas, and share best practices in conjunction with technology. Participating in the eTwinning project was a truly rewarding yet challenging experience for our first-grade class at 2nd Primary school.of Ag.Nikolaos Primary School. This particular age group is just beginning its journey into literacy, learning their first letters and words , and taking their initial steps in reading and writing. As a result, engaging with the project's themes required thoughtful adaptation and simplification of complex ideas. The educator carefully introduced concepts related to the 17th Sustainable Development Goal (Partnerships for the Goals) and Mindfulness , using age-appropriate language and activities. These ideas were taught cross-curricularly , blending seamlessly with the subjects of Language, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies .
