On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, celebrated every year on February 11th, the students of class E2 from our school participated in a creative and collaborative activity as part of the European eTwinning project “SEL Wiz: Hocus Pocus – Heart and Mind in Focus: Discovering Nature’s Magic Within”, which promotes UNESCO Days for Sustainability and Peace through the development of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in students.

The aim of this activity was to raise awareness among students about safe and responsible internet use. Each class from the participating schools was invited to contribute one good practice for safe browsing. These student-generated safety tips were collected in a shared Google Document and transformed into an engaging interactive Genially presentation titled “Safe Internet Day 2025”.

During the activity, our students:

Discussed the dangers of the internet and how to protect themselves online,

Worked together to come up with a clear, simple, and useful e-safety tip,

Developed important skills in digital responsibility and collaborative learning.

This action highlighted the importance of promoting digital well-being and reminded us that online safety is a shared responsibility. Through reflection and collaboration, our students deepened their understanding of basic protection rules and proved that even young learners can actively contribute to creating a safer, more positive, and supportive digital world for everyone.

By celebrating Safer Internet Day, we empower our students to use the internet with confidence, kindness, and care.
