Class AP3B | Ms Carla Nunes - Students' presentation

Image
Ms. Carla Nunes students from Class AP3B at Afonso de Paiva School Cluster in Castelo Branco, Portugal, present themselves to eTwinning Project'24 "SEL Wiz: Hocus Pocus: Heart and mind in focus". The students drew their self-portrait on a simple sheet of paper and coloured it in with coloured pencils and felt-tip pens. Afterwards, they presented themselves in a simple way, recording their voices on an audio recording that they added to the drawings, in a ‘Show and Tell’ moment in a classroom curriculum context. We finished this work by creating a digital book using the ‘Book Creator’ online tool.

8th primary school of Thebes in Greece | Teachers: ΜΑΤΣΑΓΓΟΥΡΑ ΕΙΡΗΝΗ & ΤΣΙΟΥΤΣΟΥ ΖΩΗ As part of the EU Code Week and within the framework of the eTwinning project “SEL Wiz: Hocus Pocus – Heart and Mind in Focus: Discovering Nature’s Magic Within”, the students of class E2 at our school participated in the activity “Sending Messages Using Morse Code.” This action aimed to introduce pupils to coding and computational thinking in a playful, unplugged, and hands-on learning environment. Students discovered the history and use of Morse Code, especially during World War II, and experimented with this alternative form of communication. After learning how the code works, they chose secret messages related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encoded them using Morse, and sent them to partner schools across Europe. Their peers were then challenged to decode the hidden messages. Through this creative and collaborative activity, students not only gained basic coding skills but a...

Students Join Forces Across Europe to Mark UNESCO International Day against Violence and Bullying at School, Including Cyberbullying

8th primary school of Thebes in Greece | Teachers: ΜΑΤΣΑΓΓΟΥΡΑ ΕΙΡΗΝΗ & ΤΣΙΟΥΤΣΟΥ ΖΩΗ On the occasion of the UNESCO International Day against Violence and Bullying at School, Including Cyberbullying, celebrated every first Thursday of November, the students of class E2, as part of the eTwinning project "SEL WIZ: Hocus Pocus, Heart and Mind Focus", collaborated with their European peers in a meaningful, artistic, and educational initiative to stand up against school bullying. Recognizing that all forms of school violence—including cyberbullying—violate children's rights to education, health, and well-being, our students explored key anti-bullying messages through videos, educational resources, and interactive activities. Inspired by the themes of unity, kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, each partner school contributed original song lyrics, writing one line for each letter of the four words. This collaborative effort resulted in the creation of our shared anthem, “Th...
