As part of the eTwinning project "SEL Wiz: Hocus Pocus: Heart and Mind in Focus", I participated with the 5th grade class of the 5th Primary School of Munich, implementing a variety of activities that promoted emotional intelligence, imagination, and teamwork, all centered around the themes of nature and sustainability.      Our approach was interdisciplinary, integrating subjects such as Greek Language, Music, Art, Discovery of the World, and ICT skills. The students enthusiastically took part in collaborative tasks, contributed to the creation of the project’s common song, developed digital content, and expressed their thoughts and feelings through artistic and literary creations.        A particularly meaningful highlight of our participation was the collaboration with the European School of Munich, where students co-created an original character—the scarecrow—inspired by The Wizard of Oz. During an online meeting, the c...

A Wonderful Journey with Our First Grade in the eTwinning Project

Participating in the eTwinning project was a truly rewarding yet challenging experience for our first-grade class at 2nd Primary school.of Ag.Nikolaos Primary School. This particular age group is just beginning its journey into literacy, learning their first letters and words , and taking their initial steps in reading and writing. As a result, engaging with the project's themes required thoughtful adaptation and simplification of complex ideas. The educator carefully introduced concepts related to the 17th Sustainable Development Goal (Partnerships for the Goals) and Mindfulness , using age-appropriate language and activities. These ideas were taught cross-curricularly , blending seamlessly with the subjects of Language, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies . This interdisciplinary approach helped children connect with the topics in a natural and engaging way, within the context of their everyday learning. One of the highlights was our celebration of World Water Day . Th...
